About the Job

Senior Manager, Commercial Programs (SMCP) establishes and drives the development of FMI’s commercial programs, partner collaborations and cross-functional teamwork to expand FMI’s data products offering. This encompasses the creation and implementation of a high-level business plan and sales strategy focused on leveraging the combined expertise and resources of FMI. The SMCP is charged with maintaining and developing relationships with key clients to achieve defined objectives within FMI’s data strategy. The position requires multifunctional interactions, including close collaboration with Client Services, Marketing, IT, Sales Operations, Business Development, Account Executives and Regional Sales Leaders in a given geography. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive the development and implementation of the commercial programs’ data products offering, with emphasis on EMR integration and post-integration support, to FMI clients. 
  • Partner with the Data Products Team to identify and execute selling strategies with complete accuracy of information on FMI’s data product offerings. 
  • Develop and execute a shared strategy and tactics with key commercial partners with the focus on expanding F1CDx, F1H, and F1L testing and increasing patient access to drugs and improved outcomes. 
  • Partner closely with FMI functions as needed to develop the tools and messaging needed for the successful implementation and execution of FMI’s commercial programs. 
  • Maintain a high level of product and market knowledge and apply it as applicable. 
  • Partner with Account Executives, Regional Sales Managers, and National Sales Directors to target, plan, and drive test utilization through data collaborations with FMI’s commercial partners. 
  • Hold discussions with C Suite prospects and communicate effectively back to FMI's team what the client is trying to accomplish. 
  • Travel 30% of the time 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 5+ years of sales or marketing experience 
  • 2+ years of experience implementing EMR (electronic medical record) systems such as Epic, OncoEMR, Cerner, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s of Business Administration or other advanced (Master’s+) Degree in a business field 
  • 5+ years of sales experience within the biopharmaceutical, diagnostics, research products, or healthcare industries 
  • Cross-functional experience (such as experience in sales operations, marketing, and training) 
  • Experience with: 
    • Selling in complex environments 
    • Successfully selling oncology-based tests and services to the pathology and/or oncology clinical communities 
    • Communicating how to integrate FMI's core products in with a potential client's EMR or EHR systems 
    • Maintaining relationships at the C-suite level in major healthcare organizations 
  • Proficiency with PDF, XML, HL7, Variant and BAM files 
  • Extensive domain knowledge around data integrations of the diagnostic services industry 
  • Strong interpersonal skills that include excellent skills in written communication, oral communication, collaboration, and problem solving with other departments and colleagues 
  • Ability to travel 30% of time
  • Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data
