ABOUT THE JOB

The Associate Project Manager, Medical Reporting plans and executes ongoing projects impacting the Medical Reporting Technology and Business Systems Teams. The position is primarily responsible for tracking, prioritizing, writing, editing, and coordinating the open Medical Reporting Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Additionally, the Associate Project Manager assists with the release planning process, with the creation of milestone-based timelines, training materials, and user guides. The role is responsible for collaborating with developers, quality engineers, project managers, product managers, regulatory, and quality assurance to ensure that FMI is delivering well thought out, researched documentation and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define scope and schedule for a designated project in all parts of the project lifecycle, including a roadmap, steps, and identification of resources, in close partnership with stakeholders.
  • Identify and execute requirements, cadence and delivery planning on assigned products for regular and timely delivery of value.
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports on meeting predefined goals
  • Accountable for finding closure on the CAPAs and NCRs opened for the medical reporting program.
  • Track all CAPAs and NCRs involving the Medical Reporting Team.
  • Gather, analyze, and compose technical and non-technical documentation for assigned application platforms.
  • Facilitate conversations across relevant stakeholder groups to identify root cause for different issues.
  • Manage and configure documentation using wiki-style editing (i.e., Confluence).
  • Create release timelines with dependency mapping back to major milestones.
  • Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
  • Translate technical information into clear, readable documentation to be used by technical and non-technical users.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality in and across all types of documentation.
  • Engage in formatting, proofreading, editing, and quality assurance on own work and the work of others (if needed).
  • Conduct post project evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2+ years of professional experience managing projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with English language grammar and writing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in process improvement projects with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • Project Management Professional Certification and other similar advanced certifications.
  • Prior experience and/or familiarity with technical editing standards.
  • Prior professional experience:
    • with SCRUM/Agile methodologies in enterprise-level application development projects.
    • working as a part of technology organization.
    • working with Corrective Action Preventative Actions (CAPAs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
    • working in an FDA-regulated environment, including use of Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) documents, as well as Functional Requirements Specifications and similar documents.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Portfolio of creative approaches to problem-solving that incorporates focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy.
