About The Job
The Corporate Counsel for FMI’s Biopharma business unit and Clinical Operations business unit will provide legal advice to internal partners at all levels within the company’s Biopharma team (including Business Development and Alliance Management) and Clinical Operations team. The primary responsibilities for the Corporate Counsel will be drafting and negotiation of agreements with biopharmaceutical companies and academic medical centers in the areas of genomic profiling, companion diagnostic collaboration, biomarker-driven clinical trial recruitment, and other similar activities. The Corporate Counsel will also advise other business units within the company to gain additional cross-functional experience. The Corporate Counsel will provide prompt, strategic, useful, and thorough input to internal partners and senior management regarding complex and wide-ranging legal matters. This is a broad business lawyering role that includes strategic and transactional counseling. The Corporate Counsel identifies issues and recommends solutions across a wide variety of complex and sensitive legal and business matters and will advise internal partners in a manner that advances the company’s strategy while also addressing legal risks and protecting the company’s business objectives, integrity, and reputation.
