ABOUT THE JOB

The Director, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) will be hands-on with all round experience to implement and support FMI’s ERP implementation across multiple systems. This is an opportunity to shape and develop FMI’s ERP Center of Excellence. This role will become a part of the leadership team by providing "thought leadership" at a level of advanced business analysis and ERP leadership. This position will have the ability to clearly understand the business strategy and align the investments being made in our ERP systems to ensure that company remains at the forefront and utilizes the latest techniques to support changing business needs. This position reports directly to the SVP of IT and is part of the IT Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Resource Planning Management

  • Partner with the system integrators to design, build and configure efficient ERP, supply chain, order-to-cash, human resources and finance systems and processes.
  • Perform requirements gathering, analysis, process design, configuration, integration, data conversion, testing and support of ERP, supply chain, order-to-cash, human resources and finance business processes.
  • Develop and administer ERP user support documentation and provide training and support to end users.
  • Document and manage changes made to productions systems via change control process.
  • Provide solution demonstrations to team, business partners and leadership.
  • Liaise with business partners from Finance, HR and Commercial as the primary point of contact on the ERP and strategic interface to the Technology group.
  • Work closely with the outsourced application support team(s) and provide continuous improvement in business processes by automating process flows, system controls and data validation.
  • Lead a team of on-site product owners and system integrators to best deliver and support the ERP solutions designed.

Strategy Management

  • Partner with Information Technology leadership to produce high-level, multi-year strategic planning artifacts aimed to communicate the strategy and direction of the IT department.
  • Develop a comprehensive IT strategy with accompanying processes for ERP solutions.
  • Continually evaluate ERP strategies and plans for effectiveness and adoption.
  • Under the direction of the IT leadership and the IT Steering Committee (ITSC), update institution-wide strategic technology plans for ERP and other key initiatives.

Other/Miscellaneous

  • Manage the business of FMI ERP IT budgets, review all ERP IT plans in preparation for the budgeting process and make suggestions to ensure valuable use of professional development funds.
  • Continuously monitor, measure, and improve the effectiveness of ERP IT initiatives.
  • Lead the development of corporate ERP IT standards.
  • Complete duties in compliance with federal, state, institutional or other types of regulations.
  • Execute efforts to ensure solutions driven by the incumbent and IT leadership team as a whole are compliant and supportive of federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Make independent decisions regarding the day-to-day activities of the ERP .
  • Escalate any complex matters about the broad strategic vision and direction of FMI to Executive leadership.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology in roles with increasing levels of leadership and responsibility.
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Program Management certification, Scrum Master certification, Project Management Professional certification or similar credentials.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Project and Visio.
  • 10+ or more years of experience in the role of an IT professional.
  • 5+ years of experience with the following:
    • planning and delivering large scale programs with multiple dependencies.
    • managing relationships with individuals at all levels.
    • working with development teams that utilize Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum) to deliver solutions.
    • with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence.
    • managing challenging political situations.
  • Historical examples of a creative approach to problem-solving issues, addressing both problem details and larger “big picture.”
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels, including the Executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • learn and understand a large enterprise architecture.
    • bring people from across the company together to build consensus and drive decisions.
    • listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner.
    • set and manage expectations with business partners.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy.
