About the Job

Two key FMI products, FoundationOne® CDx (F1CDx) and FoundationOne Liquid CDx (F1LCDx), along with complementary RNA and IHC-based assays, fit together into a CGP franchise designed to help clinicians globally make the best treatment decisions. The Global Medical Lead for the CGP Franchise is a highly cross-functional role, with accountability for further clinical development of the CGP portfolio and influencing product strategy, business development, medical affairs, and post-launch life cycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead within CGP Franchise.

• Work closely with Franchise Development Lead and Lifecycle Leaders for the Tissue & Liquid CGP products to collaboratively define the franchise strategy, objectives, direction and tactical plans.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to define CGP target product profiles and clinical development plans and initiate key studies to support clinical utility, adoption and reimbursement for all CGP Franchise products.

• Design and conduct clinical trials demonstrating the clinical utility and value proposition of CGP for physicians, payers and policymakers.

• Collaborate across FMI’s Medical and R&D teams to support publications and assessment of new technologies.

• Work with Foundation Medicine’s regulatory team as the company continues the growth of the Franchise products within a global regulatory framework.

• Build and strengthen Foundation Medicine’s relationships with cancer cooperative groups and cancer consortiums designing and conducting clinical trials using CGP.

• Collaborate with the business development team in supporting partnerships with biopharmaceutical companies and other corporate partners.

• Collaborate with Roche-FMI colleagues to inform ex-US clinical development efforts utilizing FMI’s CGP assets.

• Influence both internal and external audiences in a high impact, high visibility role by actively strengthening FMI’s brand and the scientific/clinical narrative of our products.

• Expand and strengthen Foundation Medicine’s relationships with premier academic medical centers.

• Partner with the broader Medical Team in developing the vision, strategy, and tactical implementation plan that executes upon the mission and vision of FMI.

• Other projects as periodically assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• MD or PhD with Board Certification in an oncology specialty

• 10+ years of relevant experience in industry or commensurate experience in an academic medical center practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing and executing clinical trials, including protocol development and design

• Prior experience in planning and executing clinical trials for blood-based biomarker-driven cancer therapies and/or immuno-oncology trials

• Recognition as a global leader in the drug and diagnostic development, with either an academic or industry track record of excellence

• Strong previous clinical and academic record in medical oncology at a leading academic medical center

• Proven ability to lead people, motivating teams to achieve objectives

• Ability to analyze and interpret clinical and efficacy data and develop written reports and presentations of those data

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate cross-functionally, and build alignment around key objectives

• Ability to readily build consensus and achieve agreement on key priorities

• Flexible and responsive to change; excellent creative problem-solving skills

• Strategically oriented, with good judgement and business maturity; ability to guide the company in making good decisions, with a passion to achieve sustained, superior results

• Motivated to work in a fast-paced, high accountability environment

• Motivated to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives

• High personal ethics and business integrity

• Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate with both physician and lay audiences

• Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data
