Program Manager, Commercial Data Integrations

About the Job

The Sr Mgr, Commercial Data Integrations works on unique projects in precision oncology, enhancing the way health systems provide patient care. This position collaborates closely with FMI’s technology, commercial and global portfolio strategy stakeholders to translate business needs into appropriate healthcare data (genomic and other) interoperability solutions. This role drives the successful implementation of FMI integration solutions at customer sites (e.g., EMR integrations) and manages engagement with our clients' clinical, business, and IT stakeholders to prepare and journey them to adopt the solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integration projects through scoping, planning, deployment, go-live and stabilization phases:
    • Lead implementation projects, serving as the primary customer contact.
    • Project manage and assist customers with oncology EMR integrations.
    • Understand project scope and identify implementation risks and impacts.
    • Act as a touchpoint with customers and assist with customer support issues related to integrations.
    • Collaborate with other FMI teams to create or enhance existing project management processes to improve quality and throughput of implementations and customer experience.
    • Work on multiple projects concurrently, monitor the status of tasks and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Consultancy:
    • Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal team(s) during the discovery phase to identify workflow requirements and determine how solutions would best fit.
    • Deliver advice, guidance and recommendations on system configuration and implementation best practice.
    • Identify, analyze, and document client business requirements.
  • System Rollout:
    • Serve as the client’s application expert, ensuring the system set up supports workflow decisions.
    • Liaise with the client, Client Services, Commercial team, and Sales to understand the client’s go-live and rollout strategies and to ensure that the solution meets the client’s business needs.
    • Implement our solution based on client workflows.
    • Provide weekly status reports throughout the project lifecycle to assist management in eliminating risks and increase the likelihood of project success.
    • Support all testing phases with the client.
    • Advise clients on testing strategy and planning to ensure successful solution implementation.
    • Maintain understanding of how the application is used and configured, including the ability to provide an application overview.
    • After rollout, sustain a positive, professional working relationships with live clients to re-engage on new opportunities and collect feedback to inform internal product roadmaps.
  • Travel domestically up to 75% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare or IT related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in a role at a healthcare setting, with direct day-to-day contact with clinicians

Preferred Qualifications

  • Orders and Bridges certificates
  • 3+ years of work experience setting up healthcare interfaces at provider sites utilizing industry data standards (e.g., HL7)
  • 2+ years of work experience creating interfaces within EMR systems
  • Epic or Cerner Implementation Specialist / Project Manager experience
  • Ability to identify issues, prioritize and problem solve to resolution
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Understanding of HIPAA and importance of privacy of patient data
