About the Job

The Director, Strategic Operations & Enablement is an action-oriented leader, strategic thought partner to FMI stakeholders, and a driver of innovative solutions that bring lasting value to the organization and to our BioPharma partners. The Director develops and drives cross-functional initiatives supporting best-in-class customer experience, leads prioritization, and mobilizes others to optimize BioPharma’s operational and financial capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and improvements that have significant impact on BioPharma achievement of OKRs. · Lead and drive Strategic Operations activities with Marketing & Training, Product Innovation and Roche Diagnostics Team
  • Partner with Marketing & Training team to build analytical solutions and incorporate market intelligence to help enable lead targeting strategy and launch strategies
  • Partner with Product Innovation to build solutions to help facilitate preparation for product development stages and approvals, in addition to understanding the quantifying market landscape and opportunities
  • Partner with Roche Diagnostics to build an integrated competitive and market intelligence capabilities, and solutions determining the impact of external events on the biopharma portfolio.
  • Contribute to development of Business Insights and Enablement strategy and delivery
  • Develop, maintain, and scale critical business processes on behalf of the BioPharma business unit
  • Build and leverage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for operational/process improvements ensuring a smooth customer experience
  • Own implementation of solutions to inefficient processes and workflows, contributing directly to achieving organizational goals
  • Understand key business measures and align with collaborators across FMI to develop KPIs and tracking mechanisms; regularly identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
  • Partner with insights and analytics teams to interpret voice-of-customer insights and translate into transformative initiatives improving customer satisfaction
  • Drive operational excellence and integration of best practices across BioPharma and the broader FMI organization
  • Develop dashboards to track customer experience initiatives.
  • Facilitate the evolution of business systems and platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to build robust dashboards and interfaces capturing account-level data
  • Serve as a mentor for other team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or scientific discipline or additional relevant experience
  • 12+ years of experience in process excellence or business operations in biotechnology, biopharma, or a similar setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a life science
  • Master of Business Administration Degree or graduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • Management consulting experience
  • Experience:
    • leading, handling-and mobilizing multiple partners (including top executives) and demands in a dynamic change orientated environment
    • strategizing, designing, and executing towards departmental goals
    • generating creative new approaches to solving business problems
    • driving collaborative successes with limited mentorship
  • Excellent communication skills in presenting complex concepts to both executive leadership and operational teams
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills, takes a data-driven, analytical approach to draw upon business insight where information is incomplete
  • Self-motivated and independently results-oriented as demonstrated history of, and interest in, driving business impact in a highly autonomous role
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy
