About the Job

The Manager of Biopharma Marketing, CDx, is a key member of the Biopharma Marketing team and supports marketing activities for assigned channel(s) by developing, managing, and executing on strategies and tactics to achieve Biopharma business objectives and financial goals. The individual leads activities focused on companion diagnostic marketing in collaboration with our CDx partner customers and our internal physician-facing marketing team in the Commercial business unit to increase awareness of Foundation Medicine’s CDx leadership with both biopharma and commercial customers. The Manager of Biopharma Marketing, CDx, builds the Foundation Medicine brand by clearly articulating the value of Foundation Medicine’s portfolio of tests and services to biopharma partners and demonstrating subject matter expertise of the portfolio, competition, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide input on marketing strategy, tactical calendar, and support marketing activities associated with assigned customer channel(s).
  • Work closely with the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) to ensure that for (1) all FMI marketing content and materials for CDx approvals and (2) CDx partner content and materials are approved for use and delivered on time to FMI biopharma customer-facing teams (1) and CDx partners (2), respectively.
  • Actively track tactical performance metrics and report progress toward goals, adapting approaches where required to optimize marketing activities and drive business outcomes.
  • Work closely with the biopharma customer-facing teams, particular those partner leads who are assigned to CDx partners, to listen to their feedback from customers, communicate our marketing strategy and plans, and ensure access to content that supports their engagement with customers.
  • Partner with Biopharma training team and appropriate Solutions leads to ensure biopharma customer-facing teams have the training they need to effectively execute and amplify biopharma marketing messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve objectives, including but not limited to internal biopharma teams, commercial marketing and operations, medical, legal, regulatory, corporate communications, creative, and media agencies/vendors.
  • Use project management and collaboration skills to deliver against timelines, identifying and communicating potential risks as they arise and showing a bias for action to find a solution.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, as needed, for conferences and events or customer meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible marketing experience in a life science or pharmaceutical company.
  • Must be able to travel at least 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a life science or marketing discipline
  • Master of Business Administration Degree or graduate (Master's +) Degree in a similar discipline
  • Management consulting experience
  • Experience:
    • leading, handling and mobilizing multiple partners (including top executives) and demands in a dynamic change oriented environment
    • strategizing, designing and executing towards ambitious goals
    • generating creative new approaches to solving business problems
    • driving collaborative successes with limited mentorship
  • Excellent communication skills in presenting complex concepts to both executive leadership and operational teams
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills, takes a data-driven, analytical approach to draw upon business insight where information is incomplete
  • Self-motivated and independently results-oriented as demonstrated history of, and interest in, driving business impact in a highly autonomous role
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy
