Vera Grossmann, Chief Operations Officer

Since joining Foundation Medicine in 2017, Grossmann has played a key role in establishing and driving sustainable growth at the company’s site in Penzberg, Germany. Over the past seven years, under her leadership the site has grown in capacity, lab space and personnel. Her strong focus on people and culture has led Foundation Medicine Penzberg to be recognized as a top place to work in Germany for the past three consecutive years. In addition, she has also established and fostered key collaborations with Roche and Foundation Medicine international partners in Europe and Asia.

Meet Bianca, an Accessioning Supervisor who has excelled at Foundation Medicine, driven by her genuine love of helping others. A certified nursing assistant for 12 years, Bianca had plans of becoming a nurse until a life event prompted her to pivot into the lab — eventually landing at Foundation Medicine. She has made an immeasurable impact on coworkers and patients by leading with heart.

Our Accessioning team is the first point of contact for the patient samples that are received at Foundation Medicine.
